Higher What?

i need to say that i believe others believe, and for now that's all i need. and, i try real hard to pray and trust, but that nagging fucking voice comes up that says "this is ridiculous. you're a smart dude, why the hell are you talking to nothing?" i know that it's nothing more than my disease trying to take me back out to the wonderful life of losing everything and being miserable, but it's still there. honestly, i can say that i don't want it there. some days, i just want it to go away. man, i've got a long way to go. somedays, i wonder if i'll ever make it. but, i got to be a part OF someone celebrating 4 years last night and 18 months. it was amazing, and, on a deep, level, i knew-- even if only for a moment-- that everything was going to be alright. that all i have to do today is believe that they believe....

Higher Power. Yeah, its amazing. It helped me to read a small paragraph out of a Deepak Chopra book not too long ago. He asks a lady from a methodist background, "Who is God?" she replied, "I don't know." Then he asks, "Where is God?" she replies the same answer as before. Then he proceeds to ask, "Well, what did you have for dinner last night?", and she tells him, "pork chops, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob." and then he says to her, "Would you think that maybe God is where you stored that memory?" "There is no way your blood and tissue stored a detailed picture of those items in your brain." It is a realm outside of the human mind that allows us to do this.
It sounds all scientific, I know, but it pushed me a bit closer to where I was before I read the book.
